Smiles Set In Stone (Day 93)

I came across this piece while browsing "artisan crafts" and, with a love of stones and crystals, of course this caught my eye! I love many things about stone itself- and the composition in which you captured it! I love the blues. It's a calming, relaxing, soothing stone. I love the simplicity of the dots, and the design they create. At first, yes, I agree, I saw a very cute smile! After reading the caption, I can also very clearly see the bird with wings, if you were to ever to do another rendition- I think maybe making the dots for the beak orange (which is also a complimentary color of blue) would coordinate and also identify it more as a beak! I love the way it is, just fine though! I love the title of the piece. As it warmed my heart even more, adding cuteness! The composition of the photo, now, nailed it! I love all the natural elements. The flowers you picked match perfectly in color and simplicity. And the darker wood grain is a nice contrast, I love the character of the knot near the lower flower. And of course- that shadow! Really, really add a lot. The overall feeling it gives me is a happy, peaceful one! 5 stars across the board, the only reason originality 4.5 is because I have seen a lot like this, but this one is still very unique.
