Winter Trees

An absolutely beautiful capture! Just the right amount of dark to light contrast between the lightness of the snow, both on the ground and on the trees as well as the white of the overcast sky, and the dark of the uncovered parts of the trees and even the grasses and brush. The gentle curves of the hills is wonderfully implied by the trees, I love the implication of the hills even though the forest fully covers them. While it brings out a beautiful effect...the amount of white between the trees tends to give a little bit of a wash-out effect when you focus into the woods, unavoidable when the hill itself is covered in snow, I'm afraid much editing of this would make the picture lose it's genuine quality since the branches are so dense. Really the only thing that could have made this a better winter photograph would have been a little bit better natural lighting/clearer day, but again, not really controllable and honestly it would have been a whole different picture. In short, wonderful photo fully encompassing the beauty and awe of a magical winter forest hillside! Well done!
