Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactWow, what an extreme close-up on that apple! This looks like a fun subject matter to tackle in the world of still life, only this time, it's an apple! YUM, YUM! But seriously, this composition features the perfect execution of the use of water droplets to give the viewers a tempting feel for the apple itself. The use of light and dark shadows, including the water droplets caught my attention and it looks like that the photo was taken in darkness with a window peeking out. The center of the apple looks very sharp while part of the stem is blurred. I do hope no one eats too many apples after seeing this picture, but the artist has done well on the handling of the photo work of the apple.
